On June 12, 2012, the President of the Republic of Moldova Nicolae Timofti handed H.E. Dr. György Varga, Ambassador of Hungary to the Republic of Moldova, the Order of Honor as a sign of deep gratitude for special contribution to the development and deepening of the Moldovan-Hungarian relations of friendship and cooperation.

Accepting the award, Mr. György Varga expressed his sincere gratitude and hope that after his departure from the Republic of Moldova, the processes of modernization and European integration would continue in the same dynamic pace, the witness of which he has been for the last 4 years.
